Dear Citizens, Welcome to the Ninth District’s web page. The Ninth District is centrally located in the City of St. Louis and contains some of the largest companies, hospitals and universities in the country. It is comprised of eight vibrant neighborhoods and eight Aldermanic wards. The neighborhood organizations and the Aldermen work closely with the officers of the Ninth District to jointly combat crime and criminal elements. As a 30-year veteran of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, I am proud to be entrusted with the command of such a diverse police district. I have served in every major area of the Police Department, including the Public Affairs Division where I worked very closely with neighborhood organizations. That background makes me uniquely qualified to cooperate with and support our neighborhoods, political leaders, residents and visitors of the Ninth District. The 23rd Annual Benefit Luncheon to honor Officers of the 9th District will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 from 11:30am to 1pm in the Khorassan Room at the Chase Park Plaza.  Tickets may be purchased online by clicking on the link in the sidebar below.

Officers of the Year – 2011-12

9TH DISTRICT OFFICERS OF THE YEAR – 2011-12 Police Officer Brandon Wyms Police Officer Lindsay Anderson Brandon Wyms and Lindsay Anderson have been partners for the past three years, and consistently lead the 9th District in arrests, reports, and calls handled.  They are extremely well rounded officers who are always there to help out other officers. A few of their more notable accomplishments are: P.O. Wyms and P.O. Anderson observed a suspect in the screened-in porch of the victim’s home.  P.O. Wyms was able to scale a fence and detain the subject.  The subject was interviewed and it was learned that he was currently on probation for Burglary.  He was identified by the victim and arrested for Burglary with charges issued.
